One client's comment changed how I quote every repair now
Had a guy last month in Austin ask why my estimate was $80 higher than the shop down the road. I gave the usual talk about genuine parts and bench testing. He said, "I don't need a lecture, I need a number that doesn't move." That hit different. Now I itemize every single line, including the $15 for thermal paste and the 30 minutes of cable routing. No more vague 'labor and materials' on the invoice. Has anyone else had a customer basically rewrite your whole pricing model with one sentence?
