I was talking to a guy at the supply yard about broom finishes

He said he never wets his broom before a finish anymore, just uses it dry. I always soaked mine, thought it was the only way to get a clean pull. Tried it his way on a small patio job last week, a 12x12 section. The texture came out way more even and didn't drag the cream as much. It felt wrong but the result was solid. Anyone else make that switch or am I just late to the party?

Ever tried a damp cloth on the floor first? Works way better than a wet mop for dust.
