Rant: I was finishing my edges way too early for like 2 seasons
So I'm on this driveway pour in Tacoma back in March, about 40 feet of broom finish, and the homeowner kept watching me work the edge. He didn't say anything at first, just stood there. Then he goes "you know that mag float is gonna drag your cream off if you hit it that early, right?" I got kind of defensive but he was a retired finisher, 30+ seasons, and he was right. I was pulling my edge tool almost a half hour before the bleed water was gone, and it was leaving these little ridges I kept blaming on my float. Now I wait until it's thumbprint hard and the edges come out way cleaner. Anybody else get schooled by a homeowner on their own pour?
