Rented a power trowel for a basement pour, that $180 decision paid off fast

Small 400 square foot basement slab, figured I'd save cash and finish it by hand like I always do. Buddy talked me into renting a power trowel for the day. Cost me $180 plus fuel. Got the whole pad done in half the time and the surface came out flatter than anything I've done kneeling down. My knees still thank me two weeks later. Anyone else ever rent one for a job that felt too small for it?
