That moment I realized a yard of wet mud weighs what a small car does
I was reading through the specs on a DOT bridge pour last week, and it hit me that a single cubic yard of concrete tips the scales at around 4,000 pounds. So every time I'm pushing a screed across a slab, I'm essentially wrestling a Honda Civic that's trying to sink. Does anyone else do that mental math on weight mid-pour, or just me?

Nah, now I'll be picturing Civics every pour. Rude.
