Debated flat earth vs globe for 3 hours with a coworker

My buddy Mark at the warehouse swore the earth is flat because he saw a video of a plane flying level for miles. I pulled up a live feed from the ISS on my phone and he still claimed it was CGI. Has anyone actually changed someone's mind on this stuff or is it a lost cause?

I just let them talk it out while asking simple questions like "if the earth was flat, why cant I see Chicago from across the lake?" Eventually they ran out of answers and got quiet. Sometimes you just gotta let them tire themselves out.

Three hours on that? I'd have needed a drink after the first ten minutes just to cope.
