My cousin in Denver got weird about the moon landing last week

We were at a family cookout and he started going on about how the shadows in the Apollo photos are wrong. He said he watched a three hour video on it and now he's sure it was faked. I just listened, but it got me thinking about how these ideas spread. What's a conspiracy theory that someone you know suddenly believed in?

Watched the first hour out of boredom and ended up finishing the whole thing. Used to roll my eyes at the idea, but they showed some old maps and sailor logs that made me pause. The part about how we're taught perspective really got to me.
