My coworker insisted I use a 20 developer on level 4 hair, that turned out awful

She kept saying it would lift better after my 30 developer left banding last Tuesday, but now the client's roots are orange and I have to fix it for free this weekend, has anyone else dealt with a coworker who won't accept their formula advice was wrong?
