Pro tip: a cheap plastic bowl from the dollar store saved my color mixing
I was always getting those little drips of leftover color on my station, and wiping them up was a pain. My boss in the salon kept telling me to be cleaner, but I was trying to move fast. Then I saw a stack of those small, clear plastic bowls at the dollar store for like a dollar each. I bought a pack of ten. Now, when I mix a color, I do it inside one of those bowls. Any drips or spills are contained, and I can just toss the bowl when I'm done or wash it for next time. It sounds silly, but it cut my cleanup time in half and my station looks way more professional. Has anyone else found a super cheap tool that made a big difference in your daily work?

Yeah, the "lot of plastic going straight in the trash" part really hits home. Even rinsing them uses a ton of water over time, which is its own kind of waste. It makes you wonder if the real pro tip is finding a reusable system that's just as fast, like those silicone mats you mentioned. The goal is saving time without creating a bigger mess for the planet, you know?

Wait, you're throwing the bowls away after one use? That seems so wasteful to me. I get that they're cheap, but that's a lot of plastic going straight in the trash every single day. Can't you just rinse them out right away? I use a little silicone mat for the same thing and it lasts forever.
