Stopped into an old salon in Scranton and it hit different

Tbh I was just grabbing supplies near Lackawanna Avenue last month and walked past this shop that's been there since the 80s. The owner still uses those vintage metal perm rods and a real hooded dryer, not a single digital thing in sight. It got me thinking about how we all rush through foils and balayage now, but she was doing full sets of spiral perms by hand and chatting with every client like she had all day. Has anyone else walked into an older spot and felt weirdly jealous of that slower pace, or is it just me?
