Switching from foils to balayage changed how I book appointments
Honestly, I used to do full foils on every blonde client, like 2 hour sessions minimum and I was always running behind. About 9 months ago, I moved to balayage for most of my highlight work, especially for the clients who come in every 8 weeks instead of 6. The grow out is softer, so I don't have to stress about that harsh line when they wait too long. Now I block out 90 minutes for a balayage and toner, and I'm actually leaving on time most days. Plus, my hands don't ache as bad since I'm not weaving foils back to back. Has anyone else made that switch and seen their schedule open up, or am I just getting faster with practice?
Same thing happens when people finally stop trying to do everything the hard way, like mowing the lawn with scissors. Work smarter not harder, and your body and your schedule both thank you later.
