Why does nobody talk about the client who cried after a haircut
Last week in my chair in Austin a lady in her 60s named Diane got a simple trim and started crying before I even blew it out. She said her mom used to brush her hair every night before she got sick 4 months ago and nobody had touched her hair since. How do you guys handle the heavy emotional stuff clients drop on you mid service?
One thing though, nobody crying after a haircut is actually pretty common, especially with older clients. A lot of people go months without anyone really touching them, and a shampoo or a brush can crack that wide open. You just let them have it and keep your hands moving, no big speech needed.
