My brother in law bet me $50 that Fast & Furious 6 was better than the first one, and I watched both back to back to settle it
He was so sure about it that he put cash on the table before I even finished my beer. So I sat there on a Sunday and ran both of them back to back, and honestly about halfway through the first one I got why he loves the newer stuff, the stunts are nuts. But the first one has that scene where they race the train and it just hits different, no way the sixth one tops it. I won the $50 and he still argues about it every time we grill. What movie sequel do people swear is better than the original when you know they are wrong?

Man, my buddy swore up and down that Terminator 2 blew the first one out of the water, so we did the same thing you did and watched them back to back. T2 has the effects and all that, sure, but the first one is a straight up horror movie and Arnold as the bad guy is way scarier than him being the good guy. He still brings it up every time we hang out, some people just can't admit when they're wrong.
