inFinally got the hang of cutting those big, curved auto glass pieces
That lead angle trick is good for waterjets, but it's not the only way. On my old band saw with a diamond blade, a straight cut with the right feed pressure works better for those curves. Tilting the head on that setup would just bind the blade and ruin the piece. Different tools need different fixes.

inMy brother-in-law told me I was 'wasting the air fryer' on just frozen fries and chicken nuggets...
Tell him to come over and watch me "waste" it on frozen pizza rolls next. Honestly, the thing gets used for reheating leftover fries more than anything fancy. If I'm not burning frozen food in there, it just collects dust.

inUpdate: A 20-yard pour in Tacoma went sideways when the vibrator head snapped off in the wall form.
Cheap tools always fail when you need them most, just like everything else these days.

inShowerthought: I used to think a cracked ground glass was a quick fix, but a Leica M3 taught me otherwise
Honestly, that whole story is such a good example of how the simple fix is often the best one. Modern solutions can overcomplicate things that old hands already figured out.

inMy cousin found my old Zune in a garage sale box and called it a 'weird iPod'
That Zune interface was honestly smoother than the iPod's click wheel, in my opinion.
