inWarning: The 4-star review trap on old sewing machines
Stopped reading when you said cracked gears. That is a nightmare to fix on those old Singers. Replacing gears means taking the whole machine apart, and sometimes you cant even find parts. I would be furious if I opened it up and saw that after trusting a 4 star rating. People really need to spell out what broke, not just give a star count.

inPro tip: stop ranking 80s horror as "so bad it's good" when it's just bad
Wait isn't this the same thing that happens with music and food too lol. Like how people hype up "so bad it's good" 80s synthpop but really it's just catchy on purpose. The real magic is when someone pours their heart into something they think is genius and it just completely misses the mark. That's why I think The Room works so much better than something like Sharknado which knew exactly what it was doing from the start. It's like the difference between a kid drawing a monster and thinking it's scary versus someone drawing a funny looking monster on purpose.
