TIL my neighbor in Tulsa called Jurassic Park a "kids movie about dinosaurs" and I'm still mad about it
We were both out walking our dogs on Saturday morning and he said he let his 7 year old watch it alone because "it's just a dinosaur movie." I told him the kitchen scene alone gave me nightmares until I was like 14, and he looked at me like I was the weird one. Now I'm wondering if I'm the only person who thinks that movie is way scarier than people remember, or if he's just built different.
Oh man, the kitchen scene messed me up too and I was a teenager when I saw it. What worked for me was just letting it go and remembering that some people watched it young and turned out fine, so they genuinely don't get it. Your neighbor is not built different, he just saw it at the wrong age to be scared.
