Watched Die Hard for the 20th time and just realized I had the wrong take for years
I grew up thinking Die Hard was just a macho blow up stuff movie. Then last Tuesday I had the flu and watched it from the couch with the subtitles on because my ears were plugged. I finally noticed Hans Gruber is basically a white collar guy in a suit running a heist, and McClane is just a cop with no shoes who keeps getting cut up. My buddy Bob always said it was a Christmas movie and I laughed at him, but now I see it's more of a workplace invasion flick with yuppie villains. Anyone else have a movie you watched way too many times before the actual point hit you, or was it just me being dense for 15 years?
