Swung a load with a glass of water on the hook, here's what it showed me
Put a 5 gallon bucket half full of water on the hook as a test after my level indicator went whacky last Tuesday over in Tacoma. The water stayed dead calm during the lift, so I figured my swing was fine, but the second I touched the trolley it sloshed hard side to side. Turns out my boom angle was fine, but my travel speed was transferring every bump straight into the load. Has anyone else tried this simple fluid test to check for slewing issues, or am I the only one who goes through 5 gallons of tap water a day for diagnostics?
