Tried a new rigging method on a tight site in Cincinnati and it saved the day

We had to set a 12-ton HVAC unit on a rooftop with only 15 feet of clearance from the building next door. The foreman wanted to use a standard four-leg bridle, but I suggested a three-leg with a swivel hook on the main line. The three-leg let us rotate the load in the air to clear the wall, something the four-leg couldn't do without a tagline crew. Has anyone else used a three-point rig for a tight spot like that?

We had a 5-ton chiller last year with maybe 10 feet to work with over a parking garage. Used a three-leg with a spreader bar and a single swivel like you said. Let the crane operator just spin it into place once it was over the pad. The four-leg setup was in the truck but would have been a total pain to steer in that space.

Three-leg's good, but @anthony426, a spreader bar adds risk on a spin.
