My neighbor in Phoenix said something about writing that I can't shake
I was helping him fix his AC last week and he mentioned he writes a single sentence every morning before work, just to keep the habit. He's a retired mechanic, not some fancy author, and he's been doing it for 12 years. It made me realize I always thought you needed big blocks of time to write anything worth reading. Anyone else get stuck on that idea, or have a tiny daily habit that actually works?

That's a cool habit, but honestly I've tried the whole "write a little every day" thing and it never sticks for me. Maybe some people just work better in big chunks when the mood hits?

The tiny habit works for me because it removes the pressure. Just one sentence means you can't fail, and it builds up over time. What's the smallest commitment you could actually keep?
