A student's comment about my coffee mug made me pause

I was grading papers in my room after school and a kid named Leo asked why I always use the same chipped mug. I said it was just a habit, but he pointed out that his dad says using a nice thing makes the whole day a bit better. I switched to a good mug today and, weirdly, it did feel like a small win. Anyone else have a tiny change that just made the routine feel a bit nicer?

Yeah, the "genius dad" part got me. I'm over here trying to figure out how to open a juice box without spraying it everywhere. My big win was using a towel as a makeshift bib last week. That dad's on a whole other level. I'd probably try the same trick and end up gluing the mug to the table or something.
