Grocery cashier remembered my bread preference after 2 months
I stop at the same Safeway on my way home from work, usually around 6:30 on Thursdays. Last week I grabbed my usual sourdough loaf and when I got to the register, this cashier named Diane just said "extra crusty today, huh?" without even looking at the bread. I was honestly stunned because I had mentioned I liked the darker crusts back in March when she asked if I wanted a fresher one from the back. That tiny moment stuck with me all evening. It made me realize how often we overlook the people we see regularly but never really talk to. I made a point to ask her about her weekend this time, and we ended up chatting for a solid 2 minutes while she scanned my stuff. Has anyone else had a stranger remember something small about you like that and it just made your whole day better?
