Noticed the weirdest thing at my local farmers market today

So I hit the Sunday market in Oak Park early today and every single stall had these tiny paper cups of honey for tasting. Like 5 different beekeepers all doing it. One of them told me bees actually forage within a 3 mile radius so the honey tastes totally different depending on which side of the river you're on. Blew my mind honestly. Never thought about terroir for honey but it makes sense now. I bought a $12 jar from the guy who had the darkest one and it tastes almost like molasses. Have you guys ever noticed regional honey tasting different or am I late to this?
