Swapped to a ceramic sharpening rod three months ago and cant believe I put up with steel ones for so long
I used to spend 10 minutes honing my chef's knife before service and now 30 seconds on the ceramic rod keeps it sharper longer, anyone else notice a big difference switching materials?

Nah man steel rods work fine if you just know what you're doing.
