inCan we talk about hitting 10,000 users before revenue?
...and then you realize you've built the world's most popular free hobby. @park.wyatt that AWS line hit me right in the gut. We spent months celebrating each new user signup like we were popping champagne, meanwhile our server costs were quietly eating through our last three months of runway. The worst part was when I finally tried to add a subscription tier and half the users just ghosted. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should've just put a paywall at user number 500 and called it a day.

inFound out 90% of chimney fires start from creosote buildup in the smoke chamber, not the flue
My buddy just paid for a full chimney rebuild after his insurance company sent an inspector. They found the smoke chamber was basically solid creosote, like an inch thick in some spots. He'd been getting his flue cleaned every year like clockwork and never thought to have them look above the damper. Whole thing cost him twelve grand and he was without heat for three weeks in January.

inThat one review about my rental listing's photos completely changed my strategy
Wide angle lenses fix everything except actual square footage.

inWas at the DMV in Phoenix and my paperwork just vanished
Had a friend who lost his truck registration at the DMV once. He'd set it on the counter to sign something and it got scooped up by a stack of papers an employee was moving. They found it three weeks later in a filing cabinet in a back office. They mailed it to his house with a note that said "found this in our files." He still has no idea how it got there. Now he keeps everything clipped to his shirt pocket with one of those retractable badge holders. Looks ridiculous but he hasn't lost anything since.

inThat password manager switch I kept putting off finally clicked after my email got hit
gotta push back a little here, @elizabethf85. reusing passwords isn't the real issue, it's trusting any site with your info at all. password managers are just another single point of failure waiting to get popped. i've been using the same five passwords for a decade and the only time i got hacked was when a site i trusted got breached and stored my password in plain text.
