Vent: I spent 2 hours trying to get a single stripped screw out of a cabinet hinge, and I finally admit the rubber band trick works

The rubber band thing has always been hit or miss for me. Half the time it just shreds and makes the hole even rounder, which is the last thing you want. A better move I've found is a tiny bit of valve grinding compound on the tip of the screwdriver, it grips way harder than rubber ever will. Two hours is rough though, glad you got it out before you gave up and drilled the head off.
