Last month a farmer in Nebraska showed me his homemade injector puller that worked better than my Snap-on set

He made it from an old brake caliper bracket and a threaded rod, and I watched him pull a stuck injector on a 7.3 Powerstroke in about 8 minutes flat, has anyone else run into backyard tools that beat the pro stuff?

Don't think a 7.3 has injectors that stick like that, but cool story.

Boy, I've seen plenty of 7.3s with injector issues over the years. Sticking might not be the exact word, but they sure can get lazy and start chattering or missing. Most guys I know keep a spare set of rebuilt injectors on the shelf just in case. They aren't bulletproof like the internet likes to claim.
