Pro tip: check your injector timing with a dial indicator not just by ear
I spent 6 months chasing a rough idle on my old 5.9 Cummins, swapped injectors, rebuilt the lift pump, even pulled the head looking for a valve issue. Turns out I had the injection timing off by 2 degrees the whole time cause I was just setting it by feel like some old timer told me. Anybody else wasted serious time on something a $40 tool woulda fixed in 20 minutes?

Join the club, brother. I spent a whole weekend replacing every sensor on my 7.3 before a buddy stopped by and stabbed a dial indicator on it. Two degrees off and I felt like a complete fool watching it purr after a 10 minute adjustment.
