inWarning: my neighbor's simple phone trick saved me from a huge headache
Auto-updates have saved me from missing key security patches a few times. It's one less thing to worry about, in my experience.

inMy coffee maker died right before my morning meeting, but I made a decent cup with a saucepan and a sieve.
Works great for loose leaf tea too.

inA customer in Denver told me my cable runs looked messy and it stuck with me
Yeah, that's a good one... I had a client point out some faint scuff marks on baseboards from my tool bag. Now I always throw down a cheap drop cloth even for quick jobs, just to be safe. It's such a small thing but it really does make the place look cleaner when you leave.

inI thought the 'free walking tour' in Prague was just a tourist trap
Yeah that's EXACTLY what makes them so good. I had a guide in Prague who was a history student, and he showed us this tiny door in a wall that most people just walk right by. He told the whole story of the alchemists who used to live there, and suddenly the whole street felt like a secret. It's not just facts, it's someone sharing their actual passion for the place.

inRant: I picked a cheap foam pad over an expensive inflatable one for my week in the Smokies and I'm not sorry
Honestly, good for you. That cheap foam pad will never pop on you, and you can just toss it in the car without a second thought. Some of my best trips were on a basic blue pad from the discount bin.
