My file got corrupted right before I finished a big project

I lost almost all my work because I didn't save versions separately. Now I export copies every hour (it's saved me multiple times).

Lol but seriously, was it actually a huge project or just felt huge in the moment? Sometimes we freak out over stuff that's not that deep. Like, was it your actual thesis or just a big homework assignment? The hourly saves sound overkill unless you're literally coding the next big thing or doing heart surgery plans.

Hourly saves are okay if you're really scared of losing stuff. Even a big homework assignment can feel like a thesis when you're stressed. It's more about your own headspace than the actual project size.

Andrew_shah has a point, but hourly saves are total overkill unless you're working on something actually important. Most stuff isn't worth that much panic.
