My gallery wall file names were a total disaster last week

I organize my digital art showcase folders by client and date, but last week I pulled up an old project and the files were named like 'final_v2_actuallyfinal_USE_THIS'. It took me 45 minutes just to find the right version for a print order. I ended up renaming everything with a simple system like 'clientname_date_version' and it fixed the whole mess. Anyone else keep procrastinating file cleanup until something falls apart? What naming setup do you use that actually sticks?
