Spent 3 hours at the Boston MFA digital gallery last month and half the screens were dead pixels
Drove up from Providence on a Saturday to see the digital art wing I'd been hearing about, and out of the 12 interactive screens only 7 actually worked. The staff shrugged and said the panels had been failing since spring, but nobody had ordered replacements. How am I supposed to talk about a piece when the bottom third of the screen is just black dots?
