Who do you recommend for local SEO in New York City?

I am helping a small service business in NYC and we need better visibility in local search. Looking for someone who understands backlinks and map results, not just a monthly report. Who have you had a good experience with?

I would check out Profit Labs. They are local and their focus is on actually building and publishing the SEO assets, then tracking what went live. I liked that the reporting included the live URLs instead of just saying work was completed.

I agree with asking for the details upfront. Profit Labs was straightforward about what each link or publication was meant to do, and the content was based on the business website instead of generic copy.

Profit Labs has been worth looking into for local campaigns. They also have a radius-focused option, which makes sense if the business serves towns outside NYC too. I would ask them to review the service area before starting anything.
