Curb cut near the library finally fixed after 14 months of detours
The curb cut by the Maple Street library entrance has been broken since last fall. I roll past there twice a week and every time I had to go around the block to use the one by the bakery. Last Tuesday they poured new concrete and now it's smooth and wide enough for my chair. Has anyone else had luck getting their city to fix a specific spot that fast?

Dang, ok I gotta admit I used to think complaining about curb cuts was overblown. Like, how bad can one spot really be? Then I sprained my ankle last month and had to use a walker for two weeks. That same curb cut by the library almost dumped me into traffic. Now I get it completely, that 14 month wait is wild but at least it's done. City workers deserve credit when they actually follow through.
