Was wrong about captioning services, now I get it

I used to think auto-captions on Zoom were good enough and paying $150 a month for professional captioning was a scam. Then last month at a city council meeting in Austin, the auto-captions completely botched a speaker's name and medication list, which mattered for an accessibility vote. Has anyone else had a moment where crappy captions messed up something important, and what did you switch to?
