Spent 3 hours chasing a ghost creak, it was my water bottle cage bolt

Went on a 40 mile ride Saturday and every bump made this awful ticking noise. Tore apart my bottom bracket, re-greased the pedals, even swapped wheelsets. Finally realized the rear bolt on my cage had backed out half a turn and was rattling against the frame. Has anyone else spent way too long on a sound that turned out to be something dumb like that?
