The local dump's garden gnome graveyard gave me an idea

I was at the transfer station last Tuesday dropping off brush and saw a pile of broken gnomes and cracked bird baths people had tossed. I grabbed three heads and a torso, glued them onto rebar, and made a totem pole for my front bed. Anyone else salvage trash for weird garden art?

Last spring I pulled a half-buried concrete deer head out of the ditch behind my place and bolted it to a fence post. It looked dumb for a few weeks until I added some old copper pipe antlers and painted the eyes red. Now it's the first thing people ask about when they visit, so I say go for it.
