Glued my hand to a foam axe at a con, had to walk around with it for 45 min

So I'm at Gen Con in Indy last Saturday, right? I was finishing up these foam battle axes for my group's cosplay. Using hot glue like normal, but I grabbed the wrong stick and it was some super-strength contact cement. Next thing I know, my palm is fused to the axe handle. I couldn't peel it off without ripping skin. Had to just carry this giant orange axe around the dealer hall for almost an hour until someone at a craft booth let me use their acetone. The looks I got were priceless. Has anyone else had a glue mishap mid-con that forced you to just roll with it?
