My tile saw blade wandered 3/8 of an inch and flooded the grout lines in my Beaverton bathroom
I was laying 12x24 porcelain in my upstairs bath last Saturday and about four tiles from the shower curb the blade started drifting on me. I did not notice until I stepped back and saw the grout lines fanning out like a parking lot. So I pulled the three worst tiles, scraped the thinset while it was still soft, and reset them against a straight edge clamped to the floor. Turned out my blade had a bent flange from a previous job and a new $35 blade fixed the drift. Any of you check your blade runout before a big layout, or do you just eyeball it and hope?
