Can we talk about how adding a buffer fixed my tone suck after 2 years of blaming my cables
About 6 months ago a guy at a local pedal meet in Portland listened to my board and said my signal was getting killed by the 5 true bypass pedals in a row, not by the cable. I had been swapping out cables for a year thinking that was the problem. I built a simple JFET buffer from a kit for about $12 and put it right after the tuner. It was like taking a blanket off my amp, the highs came back and the low end stopped turning to mush. Now I want to know if anyone runs two buffers, one at each end, or if that just adds noise for no reason.
