Reminds me of when I rewired my old Strat and spent two hours chasing a hum that turned out to be a cold joint on the pot casing I'd soldered to. The whole cavity looked like a bird's nest of braided wire and I was so proud of it too. A lug and a star washer would've saved me that whole afternoon and probably a few cuss words. Some lessons you just have to learn the hard way I guess.
