The guy who measured my pedal holes with a caliper at a shop talk

At a DIY pedal meetup in Portland last spring, this older builder named Ray watched me drill an enclosure freehand and said, "youre just guessing, thats why your bypass switch wobbles." He handed me his digital caliper, showed me how to mark center points on both axes, and within 10 minutes I had three perfectly aligned holes. I still use that trick every build, but I wonder, how many of you actually measure or just eyeball it and hope?
