Warning: put a wrong cap in my DIY fuzz build and it actually sounds way better
I was building a standard two transistor fuzz last Saturday in my garage in Denver and grabbed a 47nF cap instead of the 10nF the schematic called for. Plugged it in expecting mud, but it came out this thick, wooly low end that my bandmates actually loved at practice on Sunday. Has anyone else messed up a parts value and ended up keeping the mistake instead of fixing it?
