I finally hit 1,000 board feet of reclaimed wood saved from dumpsters
Counting my stockpile last night, I realized I've pulled exactly 1,000 board feet of oak and pine out of construction scrap piles over 4 years, and it made me wonder how many other night owls are secretly hoarding free lumber like this?
That 1,000 number hits different when you know the work behind it. I've got about 300 board feet of oak myself, mostly from a demo site where they threw out some killer beams. Four years is a solid grind, and honestly, the best part is knowing those pieces have a second life instead of ending up as mulch. What's your most unusual find in that pile so far?
