My nightstand build went from trash to actually level after I blamed the wrong tool for 3 weeks
I spent 3 weeks fighting a wobble on a walnut nightstand I'm building in my garage, and I kept swearing it was my old table saw. Then I put a $12 machinist square on the bench and found out the bench itself was out by about 1/8 inch, which threw off every cut and every glue up. I shimmed two legs with a folded business card and the whole thing squared up in one night. What's the dumbest thing you've blamed before you checked your own work surface?
