Pro tip: I stopped sanding pine with 80 grit at 1am and my stain blotches went away
I was fighting dark patches on a pine shelf for 3 nights straight until I switched to 220 grit and a $9 sanding block from Ace in Boise, and now the stain goes on even, so what grit do you night owls actually finish with?
