Burned a shirt printing in my kitchen, now I use the driveway

I was doing a flash cure on my dining table last Tuesday in Austin and forgot the heat gun was still on when I grabbed a snack, next thing I know my favorite hoodie had a perfect scorch mark shaped like my forearm. The shirt was fine but my kitchen floor now has a brown spot that looks like a failed coffee stain, my wife just stared at me and said "please tell me that's ink." Anyone else had a close call with heat guns indoors, and what's your setup for curing without setting your rental deposit on fire?
