Guy at the craft store in Boise said my emulsion was fine and it was my scoop coater angle the whole time
I've been re-mixing batch after batch for two months trying to fix pinholes, and he took one look at my dried screen and asked how I hold the coater. Pulled one clean screen at a 45 degree tilt and I felt like an idiot standing in the parking lot with wet hands.
The "felt like an idiot standing in the parking lot with wet hands" part got me, because that's how most fixes go. You spend forever on the hard thing and it turns out the answer was a small thing you never thought to check.
