Old press ink dried in the screen, my 2AM rescue in Portland
Pulled a screen out of the closet after 6 months and the plastisol had basically turned to glue. Thought I ruined a $40 screen. Tried pressure washing first, nothing. Then soaked it in mineral spirits overnight on a tip from a guy at the local shop. That loosened it enough that a soft scrub brush and warm water got it all out. Screen saved, but spent a whole evening on it. Now I label every screen with the date I last used it and do a quick clean if it sits over a month. Anyone else revive old screens with something weirder than mineral spirits?
