Talking to a print shop guy in Portland about screen tension made me remeasure everything
I was picking up some used screens off Craigslist from a guy who ran a small shop for 20 years, and he asked what tension I was running. I told him my usual guess-and-check method with a cheap tension meter, and he said if you're off by more than 2 newtons it shows up in the edges of your prints, not the middle. So I spent last Saturday remeasuring all my screens and found 4 that were way out of whack. Has anyone else found that fixing tension alone solved registration problems you thought were from film or exposure?

What were those 4 screens doing wrong, edges pulling in or spreading out?
