Warning: emulsion dried out on a 100-degree day, screens came out patchy
Made a batch of 6 screens last Tuesday when the garage hit 100. Coated them, let them sit 20 minutes longer than usual because a job call came in. The first two prints looked like a dog ran over them with muddy paws. Third screen was fine. Turns out the emulsion was flash drying before exposure, and the patches that washed out were in the center where it was hottest. I'm guessing the heat plus the extra wait time at around 2 pm did it. Anyone else had screens go bad just from garage temps, or should I switch to a slower drying emulsion for summer runs?

Last Tuesday was brutal here too, my garage hit 103 around 1:30 pm and I had to stop coating altogether. I feel your pain on the patchy washouts, that center hot spot is exactly where mine failed last summer. I started coating earlier in the morning, like 7 am, and that fixed most of it for me. The slower drying emulsion helps some but honestly the real fix was just not coating anywhere near the afternoon heat. Hope your next batch comes out clean, it really sucks to lose that many screens at once.
